“Changing Mindsets in a Changing Global Village”

The Department of Geography and Population Studies offers a unique academic experience through its multidisciplinary undergraduate and Diploma programmes. These programmes seek to produce graduates with a wide and firm foundation in environmental and spatial sciences. We seek to solve complex socio-ecological problems using varied scales of enquiry and this is mirrored in our modules and staff research interests. The Department’s long term vision is to be a leader in postgraduate training and research in contemporary socio-ecological issues.
