Welcome to the Department of Languages

All human experience and activity is mediated by language. This recognition of the multifaceted nature of language use, informs the Department’s interdisciplinary approach to the study of language. The Department’s teaching, research and community engagement is thus oriented towards applying the linguistic imagination to the literary, linguistic, media and dramaturgical spaces of modern day Zimbabwe.
